2014/15

Urdd Eisteddfod - 7th March 2015

Thank you to everyone who made cakes for us to sell at the Eisteddfod in Plasmawr School, and to those who came to help us serve. We made a profit of £632.45! We have the regional Eisteddfod in Glantaf School on 21st March and would be grateful for more cakes please. Hopefully we will have another successful day.

Winter Term - 2014

We had a very busy Winter Term! The Halloween Disco was well attended as usual, and we raised £463.78 while the children all had a great time! Some of the costumes were a little scary though!

Unfortunately due to the costs involved with running Fireworks Night we lost £250.65. It was a very wet evening but everyone looked as though they enjoyed watching the excellent firework display. Our thanks to everyone who volunteered their time setting up, clearing away and selling drinks and food during the display.

Selling mulled wine, raffle tickets and the concert photographs during the Christmas Concert week raised £925.01. Again our thanks to all those who helped during the week and supported us.

The Christmas Fayre was a great success and generated another £485.32. Father Christmas could be seen wearing a new suit and we had some lovely stalls, crafts, cakes and games. The Fayre needs lots of helpers so thanks everyone who gave their time. We also received a very kind donation of £600.

The Christmas cards that were designed by children raised £849.20. They are very popular and we were lucky to get twice as many cards due to the first set being printed incorrectly!

We finished the last week of term with the Carols and Casks  Music Concert (which raised £523.02) and Christmas Film Night (£162.72).  We all enjoyed hearing the school choir sing and the school instrumentalists and orchestra playing Christmas carols, and the children had their chance to relax and watch Arthur Christmas  at Film Night.

After a very busy but successful term we raised £3758.40 which we couldn't have done without a lot of helpers and support so thank you.
