Hello and Welcome to 

Class 5 for the  Academic 

Year  2026 - 2027.

It has been lovely getting to know you all over the last week. I can already see that I have ambitious, independent and creative learners in Class 5 who can not wait to explore many of the fantastic topics we are going to cover this year. Just a few notes to remember:

- Spelling words will come home weekly to learn with tests on a Monday.

- Reading for pleasure is encouraged at home as well as in school. Pupils will be giving the opportunity to read at different times of the week both as part of a group, paired reading or Individually. 

- P.E. every Monday in the hall and every Thursday outside. Appropriate footwear is needed and hair tied back. All jewellery will have to be removed before taking part including ear rings.

- Any homework will be posted on the class TEAMS and on J2Homework on Hwb. There will be a Termly Homework Grid and I would like all pupils to complete one activity off the grid. Sumdog will be available for pupils to complete at home, especially develop quick recall of number facts especially times tables.
