APP BASED SPELLING AND PHONICS RESOURCES:

Please take a look at these well researched app based spelling and phonics resources, especially the ‘gov.uk’ approved apps. These include:

‘Phonics Hero’ (iPad only)

Teach Your Monster to Read (generally available)

‘Fonetti’ (iPad).

‘Navigo Game’

If you don’t have Apple devices, then this develops reading skills / phonics and can be used in Google Chrome or as an Android app.

‘Cambugs’.

app based (available on the App Store) and if you google Cambugs, it brings up YouTube clips explaining how to use it.

(It does require an adult to sit with the child as they use it but it will assess their current phonics attainment and then develop activities from this).

‘Epic’ app.

It is a massive digital reading resource that can select texts and genre by interest, age, reading ability etc.
