Welcome to Class 3!

Croeso i Class 3!

We had a wonderful first week, settling in and learning all about how we work in Class 3. Wasn't it good to see everyone again? Mrs Westlake and Mrs Wellington are so happy to have you in Class 3. 

We are so impressed with how you are adapting to our routines, including playtime, lunchtime and home time. Excellent work, Class 3! 

Important information for the start of term: 

• Hwb: Please check our school Team regularly (at least weekly). Most weekly ICT school-based tasks will be assignments on Teams which you may access/finish at home. Sometimes specific homework tasks will be Teams assignments. (We will tell you in class when these are.) Important notices, eg information about trips, will be put on Teams under 'Posts'. You may post on this chat and ask any relevant questions. You may also post photos, work from home etc that you wish to share with the class.

• Purple Mash: Fortnightly homework 'to-dos' are set which you may access using your previous login details. They are fun and help you with the themes we study in class.

• Reading: Two reading books have already been sent home. Please bring these to school every day, together with your Reading Record book. You may change your books as soon as you have finished reading them. Please read at home every day and make sure someone at home fills in your Reading Record book at least once a week.

• Pencil cases: You may bring your own pencil case to school, equipped with coloured pencils, rubber, ruler, writing pencil and felt tips if you wish. We will not be writing with a pen quite yet - that will come later in the year.

• PE: Outdoor PE is on Mondays and indoor PE is on Thursdays. You come to school in PE kit with trainers on these days. 
• Coats: You will be going outside for playtime/the daily mile/fresh air daily, so you must bring a coat to school each day.
• Theme: Our theme for the first half term is Castle Chaos! What fascinating castles facts can you find out to share with the class?
• Times tables: We are focusing on our multiplication tables this term. Revise the 2x, 5x and 10x tables and begin learning your 3x and 4x tables. Your Purple Mash to-dos will reinforce this.
